[FREE TEMPLATE] The Book Yourself Solid Mind Map for Getting More Clients
Jamie McKean, one of my Certified Book Yourself Solid Coaches, has made a mind map spelling out every strategic and tactical detail of the Book Yourself Solid system from start to finish.
This is the mind map to end all mind maps. It’s so big that turning it into a PDF or a JPEG compromises the quality of it and, frankly, just looks crappy.
So that you can have the full enchilada, I’ve put the source file here for you to download. However, in order to view it, you’ll need a mind map program called, Xmind, which you can download for free here.
Enjoy. Please share. It’s how we help our friends think bigger about who they are and what they offer the world.
UPDATE: If the file is zipped when you download it, try renaming it with the “.xmind” extension. (Hat tip to Peter for that one.)

I was able to download the Mind mapping software, but the source file link led to a blank screen.
Any advice welcomed!
I had the same problem, but I noticed that it was saving the file as a “zipped” file. Try renaming the saved the file with the “.xmind” extension. It should work then.
Hi Peter,
I use XMind so its installed. But I saved the zipped file and renamed it to .xmind It still saw it as azipped file. So I extracted it just to see.
I got these files:
content , Meta, styles and 2 folders META-INF and Thumbnails. They just open Dreamweaver.
Can you offer any advice to be able to open this?
Thanks in advance,
Deb
As always, you’re the best provider of current and relevant resources on the planet. Thanks my friend!…pep
Michael, you very likely have one upped the guy whose father invented “but wait” on the per inquiry TV spots, Alex Mandossian, an early mentor.
How? By being nifty, design simplicity, and intriguing hoops to go through to achieve cool gifts and bonuses.
I join Ali with a huge “Hat Tip” to you. Notice every time “huge” is used, there’s a hug there for you…and nothing strange about it, of course.
As soon as my “geek” wife (her label, not mind) gives me permission (clearance) to achieve the “X” download I too will bathe in the “mind map” to end all mind maps.
You are appreciated.
Advance thank you for being a, as author Bob Burg says, ‘Go Giver.’
Your advocate, sQs Delray Beach FL not too far south of Ali in Ormond Beach.
Very grateful for this Michael. Thank you!
@SandraBaptist
I can’t open mind map even thought I download Xmind. Cam you please assist ?
I’m not trying to be cheeky here but just checking… did you install the software after you downloaded it?
Thanks Michael, it looks great. As fellow dyslexic I appreciate the visual layout of a mindmap.
You’re so very welcome. I’m making a concerted effort these days to create content in various formats so that different styles of learners can consume the info in the way that is most comfortable and accessible for them.
Michael,
Thank you so much for your generosity!
Very thorough! Thank you for sharing Michael.
To those who can’t open – I had to save the file and then it opened fine.
It’s worth the effort to figure it out!
OMG!!! This is incredible – this mind map is fantastic and does a wonderful job of consolidating key points. What are the chances this could be turned into a poster for sale?
I was actually thinking about it. I don’t know if I’d sell it; maybe just give it away. Any good leads on where I could have that done on the cheap?
I would love to get or buy this as a poster. Thanks to you and Jamie. Awesome!
Yep! Try Jakprints http://www.jakprints.com/poster-printing/ 500 @ $.40/ea, 2000 @ $.16/each, etc. Pricing lowers with quantity. Hope that helps!
Thank you! As always you knock it out of the box with helpful insights! ~K
You are so very welcome. Thank Jamie also, ok?
Wow! This is fabulous. Thanks for sharing it with us.
A second thank you for pointing us to such nifty, free, mind-mapping/ brainstorming software. This promises to be a powerful tool, too. You rock.
Great idea and I love your generosity. But, gotta be an easier and faster way to do this. I downloaded and installed xmind but it won’t open the file. Just keeps trying to install again (4 times). Would love to open it but this is taking too much time for a non-geek. Don’t mean to be grumpy or sound ungrateful but I really would like to see this
Sorry that you’re having trouble Mary. So is the way of the world these days with technology. Maybe I sent them too much traffic and overwhelmed their servers
but I don’t it. You can find an image of it here. https://s3.amazonaws.com/bysblog/Book_Yourself_Solid_System_by_MichaelPort1_FullMap_image.jpg. You’ll need to scale your browser bigger or smaller depending on your settings. I didn’t want to put this up originally b/c it’s very pixilated.
I love your mindmap, Michael! Thank you! I love your books and am crazy about the way this is all summarized and laid out together.
Do your tech people have any instructions for us to be able to print it?
You really can’t print the entire map unless you have a massive piece of paper or the eyes of a bat. You could break it up into sections and print that way but you’d have to make adjustments so that it fits on 8.5×11 sheets of paper. If we put resources to it and work up a way to make it fly, I’ll let you know.
Mary, you can find an image of it here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bysblog/Book_Yourself_Solid_System_by_MichaelPort1_FullMap_image.jpg. You’ll need to scale your browser bigger or smaller depending on your settings. I didn’t want to put this up originally b/c it’s very pixilated.
Thank you, Michael, and thank you, Jamie McKean. This is wonderful.
You’re very welcome Denise
Anyone having success with downloading the Mac versions for xmind software? I’ve tried to download and install both the full OS X version and the portable mac version.
That’s unfortunate. I’m on a mac also. Maybe it’s just acting up at the moment. You can find an image of it here, if you like: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bysblog/Book_Yourself_Solid_System_by_MichaelPort1_FullMap_image.jpg. You’ll need to scale your browser bigger or smaller depending on your settings. I didn’t want to put this up originally b/c it’s very pixilated.
Hi Kathy, I’ve shared the xmind dmg from my dropbox account here for you – try this link (in about 10 minutes, still uploading from my side), cheers, Jamie link: http://goo.gl/FNqkX
Just got it to activate. Thanks Michael and Jamie! Appreciate the help. Amazing map!
Dan VanSickle, Apr 30 01:00 pm (EDT) writes: “Your request (#XXXX) has been solved,” but doesn’t tell me the solution. Please share, how do i open the file. BTW I downloaded and installed the software first. There is no top level file with their extesion in it.
Please help.
Nice map. I’m glad to see someone else using XMind. One of the best kept secrets in Mind Mapping and the Pro version is well worth the money!… Your books not bad either.
I suggest people also get the Kindle version and have it always by your side. Good Stuff!
Cool. I just started reading the book, and already had my best week. Thank you.
Michael, tx voor de template. Very useful!
Which CRM system do you prefer?
XMIND is a terrible program – obviously others will disagree, but it’s driving me nuts.
If anyone has converted it to Smartdraw or MindJet or PersonalBrain, I’d love to get it.
Cheers
Jeff
I already have Mindjet MindManager. Can this map be opened with that program?
Hey Mike…
Thanks for the info and the software…
Appreciate the thought…
Got the software, but can’t find the source code. The link (So that you can have the full enchilada, I’ve put the source file here for you to download) just leads back to itself – the same page with that sentence and this box. Great idea though. Any tips for finding it?
I have been following you for sometime now, did your amplified seminar last year and love your work. I feel your generosity bleeding through everything you do. And your willingess to share others work is incredible. Thanks Michael. You are first class!
Hi Michael,
Thank you very much for sharing this mindmap. It’s awesome. It covers almost everything that a startup or even a well established business needs for success.
And a lot of thanks to Jamie as well for making it.
Glad there was a jpg file. I’m always leary downloading unfamiliar aps. This xmind only wanted to be downloaded to Evernote and the file to Dropbox and couldn’t select otherwise…emailed it to Evernote but couldn’t open it. I’m on my iPad but must be the diff os from a Mac. Anywho, glad the file is direct, would have save a lot of time and aggravation. The map looks cool thank you for your generosity.
I agree that a poster version of this would be great!!!
Thanks Michael & Jamie,
I would like to congratulate you both on making this information so simple and easy to understand. The visual image of how the system all fits and works together is very appealing to me, makes perfect sense and suits my way of learning best.
What I especially like about your system is how it moves effoertlessly connecting big and small picture aspects of bsuiness no matter where you are in the process, generating a ‘to do’ list and keeping a strong focus.
I would definately be interested in a wall chart version, I think that would be great for planning sessions.
I’m thinking that by setting your business out visually you could select what specific area(s) you need to be working on and allocate a percentage of time to each area/task. This will give you a rough estimate of how best to spend your week , month and year and thus spearhead your attack and time management.
I know for me I can easily get overwhelmed and scared but breaking it up into smaller bit size pieces makes everything more palatable.
Thanks again,
Karen
Many Thanks for the info!!
