How to Play a Big Game

Michael Port

By

I just sent this note out to my Book Yourself Solid Certified Coaches and I thought I’d share it with you.

Challenge and difficulty are part of the game. Not just this game but any game. No one ever won anything without working for it. Sure, a few people have won the lottery by buying a ticket or hit the jackpot by pulling a lever. But that’s just dumb luck. Usually the ones looking for luck loose to the house. So, let’s play big. No, bigger than that.

So, you tell me… what’s the big game that you’re playing right now, at this very moment.

Subscribe to the Book Yourself Solid Newsletter and get weekly tips on marketing, sales, and business development. You'll also immediately get 2 free chapters from the mega-bestselling, 2nd edition of Book Yourself Solid. I promise not to share your email with anyone.

HA! your post could not be more appropriate for me now Michael. I’m working to launch my own designer rug collection and a particular design I’m working on is proving challenging to say the least. Those close to me wonder at my persistence and patience (seeing as my rug collection hasn’t even been launched yet) but this is something I really believe in, something that truly reflects my personality, is totally absorbing and fascinating. I’m finally doing something I enjoy – or should I say that every cell in my being enjoys being involved in. My mind is so active and ideas keep popping up in my head, so much so I just can’t keep up. I have to hold myself back and say to myself “one step at a time, Lena”.
May I say that your book has helped me immensely to finally find my true focus and, eventually I hope,to find my true potential.
    thank you for your inspiration!
